About 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander
New for the 2012 Outlander is an "ECO" indicator light. Located in the instrument cluster, the "ECO" illuminates at a given vehicle speed and rev range to let the driver know that they are presently maximizing their vehicle's fuel efficiency -- the longer the duration that they drive with the "ECO" light activated, the better their fuel economy.
In 2012 Outlander models equipped with the Touring package (GT model) and the Premium package (SE model), a helpful new rearview camera system with display screen integrated into the rearview mirror is included that provides an additional level of safety as it projects a clear view of objects or obstructions positioned directly behind the vehicle.
The 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander can be equipped with either a capable inline-4-cylinder or more powerful V-6 engine. The 4-cylinder unit (available in the ES and SE Outlander models) packs quite a punch from its 16-valve 2.4-liter engine with 167 horsepower and a beneficial 167 lb.-ft. of torque.
Providing power to the top of the line Outlander GT is an exceptionally smooth-running 3.0-liter V-6 engine that delivers a stout 230 horsepower and a welcome 215 lb.-ft. of torque.
